Christa Sylla

Ms. Sylla has been sharing the joy of cultural dance with the Jacksonville community for over 13 years. As the director of Culture Moves 101/Nan Nkama Pan-African Drum and Dance Ensemble, and as an instructor and choreographer, she has received notoriety for her warm and passionate personality and innovative choreography. In November 2015, Ms. Sylla joined the adjunct faculty at Douglas Anderson as a World Dance instructor, and has taught master classes at DA, LaVilla and FSCJ. A former CAP teacher, she returns this year to bring West African Dance back to CAP at Highlands Elementary.
