AGC Jacksonville Focus & Outcomes

Between the fall of 2014 and spring of 2018, the Cathedral Arts Project has been leading Phase II: Implementation of the Any Given Child Jacksonville initiative. Immediately following a public launch and awareness event in November 2014, AGC Jacksonville has been focused on five major objectives: Program Services, Capacity Building, Advocacy and Communications, Cross Sector Collaboration, and Advancement.

During this phase, AGC Jacksonville has initiated, facilitated and/or tracked the following outcomes for our community:

  • -Two arts educators for each K-8 school in Duval County
  • -More than $9 million in local arts-related scholarships to DCPS students
  • -Four times the number of professional development offerings for arts educators in Duval County
  • -Twice the number of administrators for the DCPS Arts Department
  • -Creation of a new arts magnet middle school and four arts integration elementary schools
  • -More than three times the number of students participating in the arts locally
  • -Three times the number of local media mentions in support of arts education in our community
  • -More than $1 million in new gifts to local arts education initiatives, ranging from expansion of existing programs to creation of new arts non-profits
  • -Engaging new sectors in support of the arts, including STEM industries
