Make a Scene! Acting and Scenic Art
Led by Katie Swider
Students will be challenged to think like an actor, writer, director and scenic designer. They will receive a mystery starter backdrop and be asked to elevate it in their own creative style. Students are encouraged to use items found around the house or recycled items in their creative process. Working with a partner, students will be given scenes where they will work as writers to fill in holes in the plot. Finally, students will work on their directing and acting skills by performing their original works in front of their original scenic design! Each student will need 3-5 feet of open space to move around freely. Google Classroom will be used for all course communication. Classes will be held on Zoom.
CAP will provide all supplies needed for this course.
