Beginning Strings – Session 2A

Grades 3-5

Tuesdays and Thursdays | 4:30-5:30 p.m.
No classes November 23-27

Led by String Teaching Artist Fellow Joshua Stone

Prerequisites | Developing Musicianship

This course is designed for children with little to no knowledge of or experience with violin, viola, cello or double-bass instruments. Students will learn basic instrument care and maintenance, as well as how to hold the instrument. Once students can play by plucking the strings, they will be introduced to the bow. Those who sign up for this course are expected to enroll for all remaining quarters. Live classes will take place on Zoom every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
