The CAP String Orchestra is an ensemble comprised of current and former CAP string students in grades 4-12 who collaborate, perform and further their understanding of classical and contemporary music. Performance opportunities are provided throughout the year for the full orchestra, as well as smaller chamber ensembles.
Joshua Stone

The CAP String Orchestra is directed by Joshua Stone, CAP’s String Teaching Artist Fellow. Josh provides string instruction at multiple schools and sites throughout the year. Joshua began playing violin in middle school and has performed and participated in masterclasses with many of today’s leading artists and ensembles. His goal is to offer all children equal opportunities to play string instruments, no matter their background or location.
