Exploring Creative Movement

Grades 3-5

September 8 – October 15
Thursdays | 3-4 p.m.

Students will experience dance as a way of integrated learning and therapeutic expression. Using a mind-body approach to dance, students will learn and explore concepts through improvisational exercises and guided movement practice. Integrated learning through dance and movement enhances the development of skills such as coordination, listening and critical thinking. Students should wear comfortable and appropriate attire that allows for full range of motion, and will need a small open space to safely explore movement. Space should be ample enough for students to fully extend their arms and legs. Pre-recorded content and assignments will be posted every Friday. Live classes will take place on Zoom every Thursday from 3-4 p.m.
