Make a Scene! Acting and Scenic Art – Session 2A
October 26 – December 11
Tuesdays | 3-4 p.m.
No class November 23-27
Led by Theatre Teaching Artist Fellow Katie Swider
Students will be challenged to think like an actor, writer, director and scenic designer. They will be given a mystery location and asked to create a scenic backdrop using their own creative style. Students are encouraged to use items found around the house or recycled items in their creative process. Working with a partner, students will be given scenes where they will work as writers to fill in holes in the plot. Finally, students will work on their directing and acting skills by performing their original works in front of their original scenic design! Each student will need 3-5 feet of open space to move around freely. Pre-recorded content will be released every Friday. Live classes will take place on Zoom every Tuesday from 3-4 p.m.
CAP will provide all supplies needed for this course.
