Sensory Scouts

Grades 6-8, Caregiver & Child

September 8 – October 15
Wednesdays | 3-3:30 p.m.

Sensory-based art therapy for individuals with autism focused on using the five senses as a means of practicing mindfulness. Specifically designed for children in ESE classrooms that are non-verbal or have limited communication, this program is less focused on verbal processing and more focused on process art. Tasks are tailored to be completed with support from caregivers. Live online classes will focus on allowing children to share their artwork, though short artmaking tasks may be incorporated depending on functioning level of students. Pre-recorded content will be released every Friday. Live classes will take place on Zoom every Wednesday from 3-3:30 p.m. Caregivers are strongly encouraged to participate.
