Grades 3-8
CAP Creatives – Fall Session
Led by Various
In-Person
CAP Creatives is a collaborative class with the CAP Theatre Company and CAP Studio Artists that brings together the rich realms of visual arts, dramatic arts and creative writing to deeply explore themes of identity, empowerment and the sense of community. Participants in this program will engage in a variety of hands-on visual arts projects, allowing them to express their unique perspectives and experiences.
In addition to visual arts, students will dive into creative writing workshops, where they can hone their storytelling skills, craft poems and develop narratives that resonate with their personal journeys. Through these expressive mediums, individuals will collaborate in a supportive ensemble while also crafting their own original work.
The culmination of this immersive experience will be a showcase that features an exhibition of artwork alongside a performance. This final presentation will not only highlight the students’ creativity but will also celebrate their positive qualities and characteristics, offering a platform for them to communicate their insights and reflections. Through this collaborative process, participants will emerge with a greater sense of self and a deeper connection to their peers and community.
Course Schedule*:
