Led by Joshua Stone
In-Person
This program is for intermediate and advanced students with at least one year of string experience. Contact josh@capkids.org for more information.
Session 1 | Strings: Duos, Trios & Quartets
Small ensemble repertoire is critical for string performers and this session will focus on works specifically composed for smaller groups. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate in small ensemble groups of two, three, or four as well as perform music together at the end of the session. This session will include a guest artist interaction for advanced students.
Students may bring their own string instrument. CAP will provide instruments for those who don’t have one.

SESSION 1

Joshua Stone
String Teaching Artist Fellow
Joshua provides string instruction at multiple schools and sites throughout the year. In addition to teaching string courses, he provides administrative support to the Program Team and leads the CAP String Orchestra. Joshua began playing violin in middle school and has performed and participated in masterclasses with many of today’s leading artists and ensembles. His goal is to offer all children equal opportunities to play string instruments, no matter their background or location. Joshua joined the CAP team in 2012 as a part-time teaching artist, and then as the first full-time string teaching artist fellow in 2019.
