Theatre at Beauclerc
Led by Zach Rivera
Students must be enrolled at Beauclerc Elementary School to register for this course. Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of theatre. They will use creative theatre techniques to build confidence and trust, stimulate imagination, movement and role-play. Through theatre games and scene work, students will learn to gain trust in themselves as well as others in their groups.
In-person courses will follow the DCPS schedule for holidays and school closures.

Theatre Teaching Artist
Zach Rivera is a Northeast Florida-based director, actor, and advocate for non-traditional theatre and accessibility in the arts. Thanks to the magic of Zoom and digital theatre, Zach has recently directed in settings such as The 29th Street Playwrights Collective NYC (Pecking Order; Climbing the Good Walls) and The Tank NYC (Adapt or Die). When not directing or acting, Zach is working hard to build Earworm Audio Theatre, and to start Basecamp Theatre Co. in Jacksonville.
