Theatre at Blue Fire Theatre

This course is for ages 6-12. This introductory course offers a fun and engaging way to explore the world of theatre. Through interactive activities, students will learn the basics of acting, including voice projection, body language and character development. They will participate in games, improvisation exercises and short performances, helping them build confidence and teamwork skills. Young thespians will be able to express themselves and discover the joy of theater in a supportive and collaborative environment. Students will also build trust in themselves and their castmates, creating a supportive ensemble where everyone can shine.
This program will be hosted at the Yulee Lion’s Club, 851023 US-17, Yulee, Florida 32097 in collaboration with Blue Fire Theatre.

Teaching Artist Fellow in Theatre
Chelsye provides theatre instruction at multiple schools and sites throughout the year. In addition to leading students in the classroom, she is responsible for planning and supervising class field trips, guest artist visits and performance opportunities at CAP sites and throughout the Jacksonville community. Chelsye brings over a decade of experience in theatre education, with a rich background that includes developing an award-winning middle school theatre program, working as a teaching artist and delivering arts integration residencies to underserved students. She has been involved in theatre since she was four years old and fell in love with the magic of live theatre after attending a Broadway show. It has remained her biggest passion ever since. Chelsye joined the CAP team in 2024.
