Sarah Crooks

Ms. Crooks is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who has been building community through the arts since the 1980s. Certified as a Florida Master Naturalist in 2014 and trained as a botanical illustrator at the New York Botanic Gardens, her work celebrates the beauty of the natural world, explores the natural sciences through hands-on investigations and delights the human spirit. Ms. Crooks was awarded the 2016 Ninah May Holden Cummer Award for connecting people to the environment through the arts, and her art is collected by healing centers, libraries and individuals throughout the United States. She joined CAP in 2017 as an artist-in-residence at Hyde Grove Early Learning Center.
