CAP Theatre Company
The CAP Theatre Company is a dynamic new program where students can pursue their passion for theatre while honing their performance skills.
Young actors in the CAP Theatre Company will develop their artistic character and stage presence by exploring:
- character development
- improvisational skills
- choreography
During each class, Teaching Artists utilize theatre games to instill and develop students’:
- acting skills
- relevant, age-appropriate theatre vocabulary
- basic technical theatre preparation (makeup, costuming, scenic painting, etc.)
- rehearsal and performance etiquette
Building Skills for the Future
CAP Theatre Company students will have access to CAP Teaching Artist Fellows in Theatre, as well as opportunities to collaborate with and learn from special guest artists. Their years of experience in professional theatre instruction and guidance will enrich the artistic growth of our students, as well as:
- open doors of opportunity to local and national competitions and performance opportunities
- develop broad skills, opening pathways toward professional careers in the arts
- provide comprehensive preparation for auditions in roles and arts-focused academic programs
