For a recent assignment, Jarod Hammond — Jax native, graphic design student at FIU and CAP alum — chose to pay it forward for the next generation. “[CAP] is so pivotal because some students don’t have the resources, or the space and support to fully express their creativity,” he said.

We catch up with S’Maiah Rock, a CAP ballet alumna who’s now a painter and student at Jacksonville University.

“Even though I didn’t pursue dance professionally, the confidence, joy and creativity it gave me have stuck with me ever since,” he said.
