Music Therapy at Growing Together Behavioral Health
Led by Laura Fennell
In-Person
Students must be enrolled at Growing Together Behavioral Health to register for this course.
In this music therapy program, students will discover the joy of music while building essential developmental skills. Our board-certified music therapists create a warm, encouraging environment where children of all abilities flourish. Through engaging musical activities tailored to each student’s unique needs, they’ll develop communication skills, emotional expression, motor coordination and social connections. Sessions are designed to meet measurable goals created in collaboration with teachers and educators.
Each music therapy session occurs in groups for 30 minutes throughout the stated time.

Laura Fennell, MT-BC
Board Certified Music Therapist
Laura provides music therapy at multiple schools and sites throughout the year. She works closely with our partner sites to integrate evidence-based music therapy interventions that support student growth and development. Laura’s expertise in working with diverse ages, populations and complex medical cases supports her efforts to combine clinical excellence with creative engagement in her programs. She began playing the flute at age 10 and still plays to this day. She has also participated in theatre productions as a member of the orchestra pit or through singing roles. One of her favorite pastimes is finding new instruments to learn and play. Laura joined the CAP team in 2025.
