Theatre at Cornerstone Classical

In-Person
Students must be enrolled at Cornerstone Classical Academy to register for this course. Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of theatre arts. They will use creative theatre techniques to build confidence and trust, stimulate imagination, movement and role-play. Through theatre games and scene work, students will learn to gain trust in themselves as well as others in their groups.
In-person courses will follow the school’s schedule for holidays and school closures.

Theatre Teaching Artist
Olesya Shvets immigrated to the United States from Kazakhstan with her family when she was 9 years old. From a young age, she was surrounded by music; her father playing the accordion while her mother sang. It didn’t take long for her passion to become her career as she went on to pursue vocal pedagogy and music education at the University of North Florida. Olesya received her Bachelor of Music Education and has experience teaching at every level from VPK to high school. She currently teaches upper school chorus and music at Cornerstone Classical Academy. Olesya joined CAP as a part-time teaching artist in 2023.
