At the same time, students are introduced to various media and production skills and are encouraged to think critically and creatively. Students will work individually and collaboratively.
In-person courses will follow the DCPS schedule for holidays and school closures.
Visual Arts Teaching Artist
Teresa Cook was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She is an abstract architectural watercolor artist and has been painting since 2012. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Florida. Over the last 10 years, she has been traveling to different countries as well as around her native city. She creates mini watercolor abstractions, but she has always found pleasure in the landscapes and buildings that have been created over time. Each of her watercolor and ink paintings is created on a smooth paper called “Yupo” and is meant to capture a moment in time without the interruption of people. You will not see human interaction within her art. She is a private art instructor as well. She joined CAP as a part-time teaching artist in 2022.
