Led by Ashlee Collins
In-Person
Students must be enrolled at Ortega Elementary School to register for this course.
Young artists will embark on a journey through time, exploring art from ancient cave paintings to contemporary masterpieces. Students will gain insights into art history while honing their own creative skills through hands-on projects. They’ll experiment with various mediums like painting, drawing, collage and assemblage. Each lesson blends appreciation with action, allowing budding artists to understand the past while expressing their own artistic voices. This course offers a perfect mix of learning and creating, giving students a glimpse into the world of working artists while nurturing their own talents.
In-person courses will follow the DCPS schedule for holidays and school closures.
