World Drums at Hyde Park
Led by Michelle Taylor
Students must be enrolled at Hyde Park Elementary School to register for this course. Students will explore and play with sound as a means of personal expression, to connect with the musical traditions of other cultures and understand what it means to be part of a musical ensemble. They will learn the basics of rhythm, meter and tempo, as well as how to perform as an ensemble. CAP will provide all instruments for this course.
In-person courses will follow the DCPS schedule for holidays and school closures.
This program is supported by the Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation.
