About CAP
For over 30 years, the Cathedral Arts Project, a nationally recognized nonprofit, has been Northeast Florida’s leading provider of arts education. CAP offers quality, standards-based instruction in Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts for a variety of ages taught by qualified teaching artists and fellows.
CAP programs are led by professional teaching artists with a background in art and education. Programs develop creativity, confidence and provide an inclusive, welcoming space for all students. Since its inception, CAP has served over 36,000 students across Northeast Florida.
Arts Programs for JCP Residents
CAP is exploring the possibility of bringing affordable, high-quality arts programs to the Julington Creek Plantation (JCP) Recreation Center starting in February 2024.
CAP would like to hear from families who might be interested in these programs. Since these classes would be exclusively available to JCP residents, we’d love your input to help us gauge interest and plan accordingly.
Potential Programs
This survey gauges interest in weekly one-hour classes in Visual Arts or Theatre from February through May 2025. These classes would be taught by professional teaching artists who specialize in working with students of all ages.
Program Highlights:
- Hands-on Visual Arts or Theatre instruction
- Small class sizes for individual attention
- Age-appropriate creative activities
- Possible opportunities for a small shareformance or exhibit
- Convenient location at your JCP Rec Center
