CAP Theatre Company
Do you have a child who loves theatre?
The CAP Theatre Company is a dynamic new program where students can pursue their passion for theatre while honing their performance skills. Young actors in the CAP Theatre Company will develop their artistic character and stage presence by exploring:
- character development
- improvisational skills
- choreography
- acting skills
- relevant, age-appropriate theatre vocabulary
- basic technical theatre preparation (makeup, costuming, scenic painting, etc.)
- rehearsal and performance etiquette
Building Skills for the Future
CAP Theatre Company students will have access to CAP Teaching Artist Fellows in Theatre, as well as opportunities to collaborate with and learn from special guest artists. Their years of experience in professional theatre instruction and guidance will enrich the artistic growth of our students, as well as:
- open doors of opportunity to local and national competitions and performance opportunities
- develop broad skills, opening pathways toward professional careers in the arts

Julia provides theatre instruction at multiple schools and sites throughout the year. In addition to leading students in the classroom, she plans and supervises performance opportunities at CAP sites and throughout the Jacksonville community. She holds a master’s in theatre for young audiences from the University of Central Florida. Julia became engaged in the performing arts after a community theatre production of “Cinderella” as a child. She thanks the quality educators who recognized her passion for the arts, which allowed her to foster her life-long love of theatre. Julia joined the CAP team in 2024.
