Opening Reception: By the Water, Alma Ramirez

Join us for the opening reception of By the Water by Alma Ramirez featuring a Q&A session facilitated by local artist and professor Mark Creegan.
Born in Mexico, Ramírez is a contemporary abstract artist living and working in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Her artistic process is based on the contemplation of nature and her surroundings, and the interplay of color and composition. She is represented by local and regional galleries and her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Mexico and the United States.
The exhibition runs through October 25. The Heather Moore Community Gallery is free and open to the public Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please contact Elise Johnson at ejohnson@capkids.org for more information.
